The 6086 is an Unlicensed
Mobile Access (UMA) handset boasting quad-band GSM compatibility making it
a true world phone.Offered in a snappy
exterior, Nokia is aiming to deliver seamless consumer experience with the
6086 phone. UMA trials confirmed that the phone was able to switch effortlessly
between GSM and WLAN networks - while at the same time being transparent to the
user.Nokia claims a talk-time of 5 hours and up to 10 days of standby. While
on-board memory is paltry at just 6MB,
the Nokia 6086 can take in microSD
memory cards. It's got a basic VGA camera with 4X digital zoom. It can also record video, and features Bluetooth
so you can get yourself some wireless enhancements. Thanks to the UMA
technology, operators can deliver voice and data services to consumers over
WLAN as well, cutting costs while expanding their coverage at the same time.
The Nokia 6086 is a simple flip phone. Not only does it show
incoming calls on the external display but can exploit WiFi (UMA) calling for
lower prices on the Internet. Otherwise, it is capable of running on mobile
