M6 Mobile in France would have already started receiving the
Pantech U4000 since the beginning of this month, bringing the French people a
little something to tide them over until the next slew of cellphone releases
are announced. The U4000 looks pretty utilitarian, featuring a 1.3 megapixel camera and VGA camera for
video calls, a 1.9″ 260k color TFT
display, Bluetooth connectivity, a microSD memory card slot, and MP3 playback
capability. For a further list of specifications, head on after the jump. We
still do not have any inkling on how much the U4000 will cost, so just keep a
lookout for it.
The U4000 has been available for Orange customers in France
for quite a while, with Pantech starting to supply the handset since November
last year. Most mobile phones produced by Pantech are generally unavailable for
European users and usually sold only
in Asia . In this case, it looks like customers
from France
will even be able to choose what mobile operator they prefer, if they consider
getting a Pantech U4000. The handset is available through M6, but there is no
information regarding its price.
