Palm’s new achievement,Never before has a business phone
reached such a high standard. Absolutely everything about this phone exudes
sophistication. From the touchscreen and QWERTY keyboard combination, to the
fast software and multimedia capabilities this phone is the perfect solution for
the boardroom.Palm has revamped their design methodology to create a phone that
is sleek, powerful, and not at all cumbersome. This Quad-Band GSM phone with Tri-Band
3G technology is a flexible system that enables the user to move to any
location and receive proper reception. Palm knows that its customers need a
reliable phone which is why they have packed the Treo Pro full of hardware that
ensures a solid conversation.
The Treo Pro is an unlocked, tri-band 3G HSDPA 3.6 and
quad-band 2G device, which gives it true worldwide roaming capability. In
the U.S. ,
it works on AT&T's 3G network and T-Mobile's 2G EDGE network. Its Wi-Fi
radio connects to any 802.11b/g network with WPA or WPA2 encryption; it
connected to my own 802.11g, WPA-encrypted network without a hitch. You can
also tether the Treo Pro as a high-speed modem for your laptop. We connected
the handset to a Windows Vista PC easily, and achieved speeds between 900-1500Kbps
down and 270-350Kbps up on AT&T's HSDPA network.
The 2.5-inch touch screen reacts quickly
to actions from the user and in conjunction with the spacious QWERTY, this is
really a phone built for those who need to input and receive information quickly.
There is also a 5-way navigation button in the middle of the body which allows
the user to speed through the menu system very quickly.Other great features
included with the phone are a strong Wi-fi connection, a MicroUSB slot, a 2
Megapixel Camera, and a 3.5mm stereo headset jack.
